Our commitment, and how to tell us when we fall short
Accessibility
Derek Hooper of Revel Realty is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. This statement sets out what we aim for, where we know we fall short, and how to reach a person about it.

The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA, which is the standard set out in the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Accessibility is not a one-time audit. As we add features, we test them and fix what we find.
What we have built in
- Every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visibly marked.
- Pages use real headings in a meaningful order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure rather than by guesswork.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives. Purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology instead of being announced as noise.
- Text and interface colours are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio, and the site respects your system light or dark preference.
- The layout reflows for small screens and for zoom up to 200% without losing content or requiring horizontal scrolling.
- Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
Where we know we fall short
We would rather tell you than let you discover it:
- The interactive map is difficult to use without a mouse or touch. Every listing reachable on the map is also reachable through the list and search pages, which are keyboard accessible — if the map is a barrier, use the listings view.
- Listing photographs come from the real estate board with no descriptive text supplied. We cannot write alternative text for photographs we did not take, so these are labelled by property address rather than described.
- Some listing documents supplied by third parties, such as floor plans, are images or PDFs that may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will describe the contents.
Getting information another way
You do not have to use this website to work with us. Any listing information, form, or document available here can be provided by telephone, by email, or in person, in a format that works for you, at no additional cost. Contact us and say what format suits you.
Third-party content
Parts of this site display content supplied by others — listing data from the real estate board, and mapping from our map provider. We do not control how that content is authored. Where it creates a barrier we will provide the information another way, and we raise recurring problems with the supplier.
Accessibility feedback
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us. Describe the page and what happened, and we will reply and tell you what we are doing about it. We can also provide the information you were looking for in another format — by phone, by email, or in person — at no extra cost.
